Apartment

A sustainable building that can be used as a hotel or accommodation, using modular building structures and new technology coffee bricks as the main materials. Multi-purpose rooms including rooms, public areas and meeting rooms serve different people. modular is easy to build and remodel, cheap and practical, and suitable for different places and spaces. Furthermore, with the development of technology, modularization has become more convenient, faster and simpler. Today's technology can support buildings that need to be built more quickly and environmentally friendly than traditional buildings. It is not a fantasy to merge the two (coffee bricks and modularity) to create new buildings.

SPACE DETAIL

IDEA

This is an Olympic Village designed for the future Olympic Games to be held in Brisbane. Inspired by how designers can solve the problem of environmental pollution caused by the Olympic Games, we design the Olympic Village building from the perspective of architecture and interior design. I read online about new building materials and modular architecture and found inspiration to combine the two to create a comfortable Olympic Village.

The Olympic Village is not just an accommodation, but also a cultural centre, a press centre and training camps, which are closely linked to form a complex Olympic Village building. The modular architecture is suitable for complex buildings that can be assembled and disassembled quickly. Therefore, modular architecture is suitable for the Olympic Village. Modularization allows modular buildings to be constructed at other sites and delivered to the site for assembly, reducing material waste and carbon emissions. Modularization also allows for the use of local materials, such as wood, steel, etc., to build the modular rooms and then transport them to the site for assembly, without having to open up the land and trees to meet the materials needed for the Olympic Village. The site uses steel to connect the modular rooms to ensure structural integrity and compression resistance. This construction method reduces material waste and has the goal of achieving high productivity, low cost and high return . Modular construction is convenient and suitable for both post-Olympic preservation and demolition, and its structural robustness is suitable for long-term use.

Pre-assembled modules include data centers and other key facilities that are pre-engineered by integrating, consolidating and testing systems in a factory environment to reduce deployment timeframes and improve predictability of progress and cost performance. These are flexible, enable faster deployment and lower risk, are scalable, can be customized and respond quickly to unforeseen needs, and are highly efficient, thus reducing total cost of ownership. This also includes subsystems such as thermal management, power protection and distribution, control and management software, and services (as well as ancillary systems such as lighting, fire protection, physical security, and water treatment), pre-configured to create a complete environment in which technical systems can operate efficiently and reliably.

.For expansion of existing facilities and retrofits, a building unit solution from a single enclosed rack to a larger multi-rack system may be a viable solution, as it allows for a phased retrofit or expansion while minimizing change and control growth. Updates of this nature may include a range of other form factors of size, including infrastructure that is not fully enclosed but can still be transported by freight tractor-trailer.

Theme hotel

Coffee - the city consumes it in large quantities every day. As we drink coffee, do we neglect to sit back and enjoy it leisurely? Look at the exquisite pull on the surface, the mood will also be particularly good. There is a coffee pulling themed hotel near Milton station, offering you a unique and exquisite experience of staying and enjoying the pulling!

The idea of this hotel was to integrate the culture of quality coffee and the many variations of coffee pulls into the life of Brisbane and to enhance the unique charm of the area. Designing comfortable accommodations and unique designs in a small space is difficult, so each section required clever placement and subtle design. It was also important to incorporate the coffee pulling culture into the space without being too overwhelming.I want our guests to feel comfortable, fun and at home after their experience, and to have the opportunity to come back again.

PARTY ROOM

Create an event space or a party room that is what we called. The reason why that it's necessary is because teenagers only have one entertainment at midnight or overnight is clubbing and bar. Some young people and adults maybe just want a private area for gathering or meeting without alcohol. They have no more choice in this situation. My focus clients are adults, teenagers and any person who needs a private gathering room at any time. This will allow the public to have a better entertainment alternative to the club. This is a good solution to, loneliness, Regional restrictions and body health. Citizens have more entertainment options and anyone can book a space.

Addressing loneliness

Having a space to spend time with friends can bring together some young people for quality entertainment.

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

I likes marine life and marine ecology. Nowadays, due to the advancement of technology and the reliance on plastic products, I find that the damage to marine ecology has already affected the ecology of human beings themselves. The world is an interconnected ecosphere , and when one of the ecospheres is affected, everything in the world will be affected. Therefore, it is everyone's responsibility to protect the ecology and the ocean. The space I have created is mainly a marine world using various kinds of plastic waste, which will not only harm other creatures, but will also be selfdefeating if it continues to be destroyed. I want to remind people to stop damaging the ocean and to protect our environment and ocean together

First of all, when we enter this space we will feel like we are in the ocean, but when you look closer you will find that everything is made of plastic.

All four sides of the building and the ceiling are separated by glass, and there is seawater flowing between the wall and the glass, making the experience feel like being in the ocean.

I made the whole scene like a real ocean, with beautiful coral and fish. People who look at it may not immediately realize that it is a horrible plastic pollution, but this is exactly what is clever. Because humans have inadvertently destroyed the ocean, we need to look closely to see that everything is caused by plastic, which I think is more shocking.

The first thing that caught our eyes was the giant shark, the first half of which was made of plastic water bottle and the second half was made of styrofoam, and we could see through the plastic water bottle that the skeleton was a real shark bone. It means that the plastic will kill them at any time. The coral is made of styrofoam too, the corresponding plastic will kill the coral so that the fish have no shelter.

Under the shark there is a wooden table, and on top of the table there is a plate of sushi, we have to look closely to find that the sushi is plastic. The meaning is that human beings will pollute the ocean with plastic so that the fish will eat the plastic, and we will eat the fish, and eventually we will only eat the consequences.

DESIGN STATMENT

Aims

1. Let the public realize the harm of plastic products to the ocean

2. Plastic particles will enter the body of fish, and finally be eaten by

humans, and will eventually eat their own consequences.

3. I hope the audience will reflect on the use of plastic products after experiencing the content of this room.

4. Improve the recycling rate of plastics.

5. Raise public awareness of environmental protection.

Plastic Marine Pollution

The study concluded that plastic particles can be found in countless everyday foods and beverages, such as water, seafood and salt, and that the largest source of plastic intake should be drinking water, where the average person can consume up to 1,769 plastic particles per week just by drinking bottled water or tap water. The report also points out that a very important source of plastic particles less than 5 mm in diameter is artificial clothing fibers, tiny beads in toothpaste, and slightly larger pieces of plastic.
When these objects containing plastic particles are discarded and exposed to the natural environment, they will gradually decompose into smaller and smaller sizes, sink into rivers, lakes and oceans and be swallowed by fish and other marine animals, eventually entering the food chain and coming into the human body.

Therefore, the main surface of my space design is the danger of plastic products to marine life.

How To Protect The Marine

There are so many opportunities to reduce plastic in our lives, replacing disposable plastic packaging with reusable bags and containers, straws and cutlery, and even taking the role of consumers to ask retail outlets, markets, shopping districts, and night markets to change their sales patterns and take the initiative to inform stores of their expectations for plastic reduction and promote change.

The easiest way to reduce carbon from yourself is the energy you use every day, including electricity, transportation. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, including airplanes, cars and other traffic and transportation emissions accounted for about 14% of the total amount of carbon emissions in Taiwan, so rent a convenient, low-cost bicycle, take public transportation, can effectively reduce daily carbon emissions!
